Summary:
The Youth Care Worker Lead is responsible for the oversight and operational performance of all Youth Care Workers in the Operations Center of an on-site children's residential facility.
Functions as the liaison with other leads and any other on-site vendors.
This position is responsible for ensuring all Youth Care Workers are performing according to ORR Policy and are providing line of sight supervision of minors at all times.
They ensure contractual requirements and client expectations are met at the on-site residential facility.
Reports to:
Youth Care Manager Principle Accountabilities:
Ensures the supervision of assigned on-site Youth Care Worker staff.
Provides documentation of supervision by completing a supervisory log for all staff supervised.
Completes all required documentation that pertains to this position in a timely fashion that may include daily reports.
Ensures appropriate shelter care and line of sight supervision of unaccompanied minors by assigned staff is handled appropriately and is organized.
Supports the Site Manager through formal or informal supervision and provides staff with ongoing feedback, Communicates frequently with Youth Care Manager.
Assists during transition and movement of children from one activity to the next and one physical location to another.
Participates in ongoing meetings, conferences, and training programs as required.
Provides coverage for assigned staff when needed.
Responsible for adhering to ORR and other state regulations.
Other Duties:
Performs duties in a safe manner.
Follows the corporate safety policy.
Participates and supports safety meetings, training and goals.
Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility.
Encourages co-workers to work safely.
Identifies close calls and/or safety concerns to supervisory personnel.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Assists in active implementation of company initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA VPP, ISO, JCAHO, AAAHC, and other mandated regulations/standards.
Experience & Education:
Minimum age of 21 years or older.
High School Diploma and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Must demonstrate experience training and leading others and adapting to diverse situations.
Must have the ability to resolve unforeseen problems with little or no direction from manager.
Valid U.
S.
Driver's License with a driving record that meets company standards Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills required.
Proficiency with computer, common office equipment, and MS Office products required.
Clear criminal background check.
Clear child abuse and neglect or child protective services check (CAN).
Must clear pre-employment physical, drug screen, and immunization requirements.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Associates degree with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in childcare or residential care for adolescents.
Knowledge of government property, shipping, packing, and logistical operations.
Any operations experience.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day Must be willing to work overtime if necessary Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19.
Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
