Here are some tidbits - About Us Fragile Planet Wildlife Park opened to the public in September of 2021 making us less than two-years old with a lot of growth potential.
We are the first place in the world to successfully propagate the Purple Harlequin Toad (Atelopus barbotini).
We provided educational presentations in 5 states and 400 schools to over 120,000 students in the 22/23 school year alone.
Some of our more immediate projects include the formation of a safari park, development of stronger animal care policies, and the introduction of a digital animal management software.
Since Fragile Planet began in Texas, prior to opening to the public, 4 years ago - we have maintained a flawless USDA inspection record and hope to continue to do so.

We are growing and seeking to hire a forward-thinking, energetic individual on our education team.
We are seeking applicants with experience with small mammals, birds, invertebrates, and reptiles.
We also prefer educators with some animal ambassador programming, public speaking, training, animal rearing, and/or enrichment experience.
Educators will work closely under the Lead Keeper and Office Manager to ensure high standards of animal care and welfare are met and the needs of our education presentations/programming are being fulfilled.
Educators are responsible for ensuring all daily animal care duties are performed for their collection (typically 4 - 5 animals) as well as their routine educator's responsibilities.
Performs animal care operations with the team under supervision of the Lead Keeper.
Ensure animals are held to high animal welfare standards exceeding USDA and ZAA standards.
Helps animal training, enrichment, and ambassador animal programs under direction of Lead Keeper.
Maintains animal care reports, medical records, and adherence to animal care protocols.
Ensures daily delivery of animal medications, diets, and enrichment.
Reports animal behavior and medical concerns to the Lead Keeper.
Assists with medical procedures.
Delivers professional and accurate educational presentations to schools on a daily basis.
Work out of town for extended periods of time (We frequent the areas of El Paso, Phoenix, Tulsa, and Albuquerque).
Frequent travel (12
hours away) Handles merchandise, inventory, and money responsibly and accurately.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Applicants will be considered upon demonstrated ability to meet the following education and experience requirements.
1-3 years in an educational setting.
Experience with small animal care.
Experience speaking in public with a professional demeanor.
Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions, able to see color, be physically fit, able to stand/stoop/crawl, able to run, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Experience in conflict resolution.
Exceptional communication skills both in writing and verbal.
Valid driver's license.

Staff are responsible for their own food and extra curricular activities.
This is a GREAT opportunity to visit and experience other parts of the country, on someone else's dime! Educators follow the same schedule as schools - meaning you get all school holidays and breaks! An educator's work week can consist of 2 - 5 days per week based on school programming schedule.
Either way, you get paid for a full work week! Our team size is small.
Our current team is comprised of 3 full-time zookeepers, 6 full-time educators, 1 office manager, and 3 additional management who partakes in all levels and aspects of the organization.
Pay starts at $1,000/week, plus a per diem, and all travel expenses paid.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
